In any adobe product if you get “Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialized” error follow following steps
- Close all adobe applications
- Open C Drive > Documents and Settings > Currrent user directory > Local Settings > Application Data > Adobe > TypeSupport
- Delete everything inside the TypeSupport Folder
Some directories are hidden by default so make sure to set the explorer to display all hidden files.
