I have been using foursquare for about 8 months and have also introduced the App to my friends. I always play a fair game on Foursquare, However recently I have noticed my points dropping down, down and down below. I am normally within 4th position on the leader board with average of 220 points. Last few weeks my point has dropped down to 50! It’s quite exciting to see myself at the bottom of the leader board.
It would help if Foursquare can give some sort of explanation on why our points are being deducted. I have added various venues, tips, photos and have promoted it in other social networking sites. I encourage my clients and have activated foursquare special in my workplace.
What has gone wrong?
My presumption on why foursquare system has recently added me to the block list ; I enjoy adding friends , so added Many of my followers on other network to be my friends on foursquare. I have around 2000 followers on twitter to date. To make competition on foursquare, I added all of them . I remember adding my m8, and foursquare gave me a warning message saying “You have 500 pending request”, now how do I delete these requests? I am not quite sure if this is the reason, its just my assumption. I will continue to rely on my assumption it until I am proven wrong and assured.
My mate Uthay, suggested that the reasons for points being reduced could be due to our check-ins’ at the same place every day (which is true), don’t know how that would affect my points.
My foursquare usage has been dropped. Think about it, who would like to read this – “Every check-in counts – 1pts”. I will give foursquare couple more weeks
